Improving Access to Justice
on Chicago’s West Side

Who We Are

The Chicago Community Justice Foundation was formed to address gaps in justice-oriented services available on the west side of Chicago.

Located in West Humboldt Park, CCJF provides free legal services to individuals in need of assistance navigating the legal system. CCJF helps remove barriers to employment, housing and transportation as well as barriers that interfere with people pursuing opportunities that allow them to fully engage in their community.

Among the legal services CCJF offers are assistance with criminal conviction expungement, driver’s license-related issues, domestic violence-related orders of protection, DCFS-related child custody issues, helping to remove barriers to housing, credit-related issues and other quality of life issues.

As well, CCJF partners with other well-established community-based social service agencies. These collaborations include violence prevention services, workforce training and development, and community education and training.

Soon these services will be offered under one roof in a fully renovated, modern community space accessible to the public.

CCJF is a 501(c)(3) private operating foundation.
